Privacy Policy

Your privacy matters. This policy explains what data we collect, why, and what you can do about it. We comply with GDPR (EU Regulation 2016/679).

Data controller

What we collect

• Account: email, name, preferred language. You provide it at sign-up.
• Candidate profile: title, location, story, skills, interests, minimum salary, social links. Only if you fill it in and publish it.
• CV: the content you add to the CV builder; public only if you publish.
• Jobs (companies): job content, company and billing info.
• Applications: which jobs you apply to and their status.
• Cookies essential for session (Supabase Auth) and preference (cookie banner accepted).
• Technical logs: errors and minimal metadata to operate the service.

Why we use it (legal bases)

• Contract performance: to provide the service (publish profile/CV/jobs, receive applications).
• Legitimate interest: to prevent abuse and improve the platform.
• Consent: news emails (toggle off any time in Settings).
• Legal obligations: billing, tax.

Processors

We share data only with parties who process it on our behalf:

• Supabase — database, auth and storage (EU).
• Vercel — hosting (EU / global).
• Stripe — payment processing (we do not store card data).

Each has their own policy and a DPA in place with us.

Retention

We keep your data while your account is active. On account deletion we erase your personal data (GDPR art. 17). We retain the legal minimum (e.g. invoices for 6 years).

Your rights

• Access and portability: export your data as JSON from Settings.
• Rectification: edit your profile or email hello@remotetalent.app.
• Erasure ("right to be forgotten"): delete your account from Settings.
• Objection and restriction: write to us.
• Complaint to your supervisory authority (Spain: AEPD — aepd.es).

International transfers

When a processor handles data outside the EEA, they do so under appropriate safeguards (Standard Contractual Clauses).

Changes

If we update this policy we will announce it reasonably in advance.
